Vi-trap Water : The Ultimate Defender against COVID-19

A domestic small and medium-sized enterprise in South Korea is manufacturing an eco-friendly cleaning and disinfection product that can eliminate the COVID-19 virus by 99.99%. Located in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, SEEMS BIONICS Inc. announced that its product, "Vi-trap Water," demonstrated an efficacy of over 99.99% in virus eradication during COVID-19 disinfection tests.
The tests, commissioned to KAL Biotech, a vaccine and antiviral agent research and development company, were conducted from May 28 to June 2. When the actual COVID-19 virus was mixed with the diluted solution of "hypochlorous acid water," the raw material of "Vi-trap Water," and observed at room temperature, the virus reduction rate exceeded 99.99%.
The "hypochlorous acid water" with a pH of 5.0 to 6.5, used in Vi-trap Water, is more environmentally friendly and has superior sterilization and deodorizing effects compared to products made from strong acidic chlorine or ozone water.
Unlike conventional products that emit strong disinfectant odors and produce carcinogens such as trihalomethanes or bromides, "hypochlorous acid water" is designated as a food additive and is safe and harmless to the human body, with almost no chlorine gas emission. Especially, during the sterilization process after contact with bacteria or organic matter, it is converted into water, leaving no residual chlorine.
The sterilization and deodorizing effects were already proven in tests conducted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2018. Tests targeting nine bacteria, including E. coli, Salmonella, and Streptococcus pneumoniae, showed over 99.99% sterilization efficacy.
Currently, SEEMS BIONICS offers various types of Vi-trap Water products. Convenient spray products for portable use are sold in 70ml and 500ml containers. Additionally, refillable 1-liter products and large-capacity 10-liter and 20-liter products for pest control are available.
SEEMS BIONICS, specializing in water-related products, has been receiving accolades in the domestic and overseas water purifier and electrolysis market since its establishment in 2006. It has received awards such as the Minister of Knowledge Economy Award at the 49th Trade Day (2012), the Gyeonggi Province Promising Small and Medium Enterprise Award (2013), and the $10 million Export Tower Award (2016).
